Smokey Oakey won the Lincoln in great style
(and stablemate Babodana, our 2004 winner, was 3rd)

Once the grass gallops opened, Mark started doing faster work 'Across the Flat' with the older horses

And every spectrum of weather was faced, including snow at the end of the month
Today we have an interview with Julian Wilson. Unfortunately we do not have a photo of him, but when 'Googled' he can be seen as a surfer of some note! Mark added: "He has written quite a few books - all of which are great reads." Click here to see him on the front of his autobiography, published several years ago.
"Wiz has been a great friend since I arrived in Newmarket all those years ago, both on a professional level (when he worked at the BBC) and on a personal level," said Mark. "We have spent many happy hours playing cricket for the Newmarket trainers' side. He has a style all of his own as a left-handed spinner and he has been known to bamboozle many an opposing batsman. His opinions are always forthright - and worth listening to!"
