We had some cold, bright mornings out on the heath

And a successful campaign on the all-weather with four runners having wins for the first time this season and plenty more were placed

We were delighted to have an interview with the stud vet, Sarah Stoneham. Mark explained: "I cannot tell people enough how lucky we are to have Sarah overseeing our mares and foals. I know Newmarket has the best of all trades within the racing industry, but to have a vet of worldwide standing on our team gives us a phenomenal advantage. The foals in our care get the best start in life. Her expertise and dedication are second-to-none and her opinion is always greatly valued."

In addition to her veterinary expertise, Sarah has recently set up Lone Oak Stud and taken on the exciting addition of Milk It Mick. His wins include the great Derby trial of the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket before going on to have success in America. From 28 starts, he was placed over 16 times and was still winning last year until retiring to be a stallion at Lone Oak.
