 end of their own arm."

We have a good covering of fog this morning which is making it difficult to see where all the strings are. You can only see around 50 yards in front of you and it is mornings like this that the yellow florescent jackets are imperative. Crossing the roads has to be done carefully and knowing where the tractor is on each gallop is also quite difficult. So far so good as far as we are concerned, although I did help out one lad who had lost his tack and was in some trouble trying to get it back on. We soon got him sorted out and back on his way.

At long last Battery Power has had her foal. She had been restless during the afternoon and had started to wax up well. She really got into gear around 7 o’clock. Being a maiden you can never tell how things are going to go, but this family have usually been brilliant mothers and everything went smoothly. A good size filly foal by Azamour appeared which was soon up and having a good suck. Both mother and daughter are doing well. The mare will be visiting Nathaniel this year, so will get every chance of improving the family even more.
