Zezhavz gets a leg-up onto Red Barcelona

Theola (Holly)

A beautiful morning on the Heath with just the slightest breeze and a few light clouds but it feels like it is going to get hot as the day progresses. The horses have been having an easy morning after the work yesterday, just having one canter up Warren Hill and a pick of grass on the way home.

Brushing (Nicki)

The two year old at York last night was a bit disappointing but I put it down to the combination of fast ground and being in the stalls for some considerable time. My horses would never even canter on ground as fast as it is at present, as we are constantly on the all-weathers and on the watered gallop. In fact, the ground has changed overnight to good-to-firm at York, so consequently we have taken out the two year old, Cornish Quest, today. The ground will suit Dazinski, as he likes it on the fast side. He was a bit unlucky at Ascot last time when he got himself into the wrong position entering the straight and, I feel, today's track should suit him better and I would be hopeful of a good run.
