"Pleasure is the bait of sin."

Bracken Brae (Tom) and Smile That Smile (Sophie)

We woke up to thunder storms at four o’clock this morning, great flashes of lightning and loud bangs followed by heavy rain until gone nine o’clock. It is now starting to get brighter but it has certainly cleared the air of that mugginess. Everything has been round Side Hill for a nice long canter and all are moving well.

My Guardian Angel (Tom) and Blue Bounty (Heather)

It looked a great performance by Taghrooda when winning the King George on Saturday, she really is a special filly and the show down with Treve and Australia in the Arc will be some race to watch. The great See the Stars is fast becoming a top sire and his off spring will be very hard to buy from now on.

Topamichi (Glenn)

We are getting on with the building in the yard and the first three boxes will be back into their original use by the end of the week. These stables used to be the old pump room for the equine pool and we discovered the original floors when the concrete plinth the filter sat on was removed; it was a bit like Time Team that history revealed itself. The next scheme is the entrance way and the laundry, plus the old yard surface and drains.
