A breezy morning

First lot heading across to Railway Land with the Limekilns on the right and Waterhall on the left

Crossing the Bury Road (by the A11)

A breezy morning but a nice temperature and we have taken the first two lots down to Railway Land, where the ground is perfect and all moved well. We have a busy week ahead of us on the track with the Summer Festival at Yarmouth and Newmarket at the end of the week, so there will be plenty of runners, especially now that we have had some rain.

Akula (Liam) gets a lead off the train up Railway land

An up-and-down weekend with Ted running very disappointingly at Doncaster. He had had a very good build-up to the race, which made it even harder to take, whether it was the ground or something else, we may never know but I will be having a few tests done just to check his well-being. There were, obviously, a few other disappointments in the race with both Rewilding's and Dandino's connections being in the same boat as us but congratulations are in order to John Gosden and William Buick . Kathleen Frances continued on her upward curve with a very game win at Goodwood and Omokoroa ran with credit to finish third at Chester. Yesterday, Dulcie just needed her first run for three months.

Theola (Ashley)

Phil and Ian are cock-a-hoop, as you would expect after Arsenal's victory on Saturday but you would expect me to be a bit sombre, as The Owls got beaten 1-0 at home - it's going to be a long winter.
