It's a misty day

"The important thing is not how many years in your life but how much life in your years."

Edward J. Steightz.

First lot about to cross the Cambridge Road

It's still very dark in the mornings first lot and today it's also a bit misty and dull. At least it's not bitterly cold. We have been cantering on the Cambridge Road polytrack and on the Hamilton Hill. All has gone well so far.

It is a misty morning

The runners at the weekend were disappointing. Topaling will now be retired to stud. She is seven years old and has been doing her own thing for a while, but she won six races and you don't find many racehorses that have achieved that. Topaling is a lovely looking filly by Halling and  out of our wonderful but sadly deceased mare, Topatori.

Heavensfield did not sparkle. She has plenty of ability and I'm sure she prefers the turf to the all weather.

Ducks on the pond at Dullingham

We have one or two poorly people today. As a result it's all hands on deck so the site will be very short this morning I'm afraid, but normal service will resume tomorrow.
