The new game machines are set to go in the shops ...

The foster mothers are returning home

Monday, 30 October 2017

"May the blessings of light be on you, light without and light within."

Irish blessing.

It's a cold but dry morning with the forecast for it to be like this for the next few days. We only had one non runner today so I've been able to get on well at the start of what is going to be a very busy week. It looks as if we shall be having runners every day this week from Wednesday onwards. The Horses in Training Sale starts today at Tattersalls and plenty of visitors will be calling in.

Many congratulations must go on an amazing  achievement by Aidan O'Brien who broke the world record by having 26 Group One winners in a year. He may increase it even further in the next couple of months, and I think he would have done so yesterday in France if the meeting hadn't have been called off when there was a protest against the planned cuts to France Galop's plans.

Our two foster mares are now weaned and are back in foal, so we are delivering them to their owner this morning. Both Paula and Red Dawn have done a fantastic job for us . What a great service this is to the industry. They have looked after the foals, taught them manners and fed them well. Let's hope they can do their foster mothers proud on the racetrack.
