Carol moves on to give Wajid a leg-up onto the Iceman ex Fiddle-Dee-Dee colt

Still very mild this morning for the time of year and no wind as yet but, as I said yesterday, if you can believe the weather forecasters, it is the lull before the storm with temperatures set to plummet and snow forecast for later in the week. We did some fast work on the Al Bahathri first lot with a few of the ones I have still got on the go and all went smoothly with everything in good form still.

David takes over from Iain to clip the Halling ex Topatoo filly

Terrible news overnight about the Scottish trainer, Peter Monteith, who died in tragic circumstances. I didn't know Peter very well but the times I met him he was always tremendously cheerful and very enthusiastic about the job. He was a very good trainer, who did marvellously well with the horses at his disposal and our condolences go to his family and friends.

Akula heads off for a canter up Long Hill

Christmas is not far away and what better Christmas present than a share in a racehorse. We have several for sale on both our 'Syndicate' and 'Horses for Sale' pages, who are tremendous value with so many ways of becoming involved. There is the lease option, which means no capital outlay just the training fees -you have your percentage of prize money. There are halves, quarters, tenths available in a lot of horses, even the older ones. The chance to name the horses and pick your own colours (only available to those who have a half share or more). It is such a fantastic feeling when your horse goes by the post in front that once you have experienced it you will want it more and more. Just give the office a ring on 01638 661434 and talk  to the Guv'nor, Phil or Neil and we can arrange a visit to view the horses and discuss all the options.
