It is a very blustery Monday morning and we are getting the edge of one of the many tropical storms that have been battering the U.S.A. The result of this wind will be dry ground and already Yarmouth is on the firm side and the Clerk of the Course is talking about watering to keep it that way. It is usually on the soft side at this meeting and it is disappointing that we won't be having many runners.

We continue to monitor all the horses' temperatures twice daily and the vet has been in already this morning to do another six scopes. One was pretty dirty, one was borderline and the rest looked O.K. We have everything on antibiotics and will be watching carefully how matters progress. We have two runners tomorrow, who both scoped clean, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
