The new game machines are set to go in the shops ...

Another great day

"Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions."

Dalai Lama.

It's a very hot morning and we have had plenty of visitors.  We worked first lot on Racecourse Side - Across the Flat.  The ground there was perfect with a good cover and everything went according to plan. Second lot was a mixture of horses as various owners had arrived at the same time and their horses were doing different work.  Some used Bury Hills and some Warren Hill.

Old Boy Ted (Steve)

Our runner yesterday, Eanans Bay, didn't stay the two miles at Beverley. He travelled well for a long way, and a drop back in distance will see him on the winner's podium in the not too distant future.

The newly named Khelley (Jordon)

It's great to see Qipco have sponsored Champions' Day for the next five years at Ascot and it looks like four Group Ones will be run on the same day, which is a first for British racing. The prize money still won't be as much as at Longchamp or the Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita, but it's a great achievement by all concerned and we must thank Qipco for their support of British racing. If only normal racing could sort itself out, what an industry we would have.

Mariann and Des

Des and Mariann bred Khelley. They also bred Theola who has had her first foal in France by Azamour.  Their stud,  Swordstown Little, was Small Breeder of the Year in Ireland last year and their recruits this year have started off really well.
