A dull, overcast sort of a morning and a bit cooler than it has been. Yesterday's workers just had one canter and a nice pick of grass but second lot, we got some of the more backward two year olds upsides, continuing to try to educate them a bit and they are coming on all the time.

Marvo doing his own thing

Of the three runners yesterday, we were delighted with Dulcie, who came up against two race-fit rivals and there is a good race to be won with her this year, especially on her favoured soft ground. Kinsya did not run too badly, although I think he was on the slowest ground on the inside and Omokoroa did not show his best for some reason.

Enjoying a pick of grass in the early morning

On Sunday, we have a couple of runners at Doncaster. Marvo runs in the same race that he won last year and, hopefully, he can run well again. Toparichi makes his debut and like all ours will improve considerably for the experience.

Colzium and Old Boy Ted

The World Cup has, at long last started, and already we have had a wonder goal from the South Africans and a sending off, so the action is really getting going. England play their first match tonight and in the words of our Prime Minister ''Come on England''.
