Some cloud today but horribly hot and humid. The horses have been cantering on Warren and Long Hill but they need a good wash down when they get back to the yard, as it is sticky weather to be doing anything energetic.

                                                                Number One Guy

We have three runners today at Yarmouth and I am just hoping that they have done a good job with the ground. Piccarello is our first runner in the six furlong maiden at 2.10pm; he is a big, strong colt, who we have always liked but, like all of ours, he is sure to be better for the experience.

Edward Whymper runs next in the mile and one furlong handicap at 4.10pm. I have been frustrated, waiting for some decent ground, for this horse but now, even I cannot wait any longer. I am hopeful of a good run from him and it will help us to sort out his ideal trip.

Power of Dreams runs in the mile and a quarter handicap at 4.40 pm. He ran an encouraging race first time out this year to be fourth at Beverley and, I am hopeful, that he will be in the shake-up today.
